Sunac Guobin Road: A Harmonious Blend of Urban and Natural Landscape

Residential Design Inspired by Guiyang's Mountainous Terrain

The Sunac Guobin Road project is strategically located at the foot of Nanyue Mountain in Nanming District, Guiyang City. This location is a meeting point of the city and nature, as well as the old and new cities. The project takes advantage of this unique location, excavating the cultural heritage of the old city to build elite housing with a sense of warmth and culture. The project's unique properties lie in its ability to blend the urban and natural landscapes, creating a residential space that offers the best of both worlds.

The project's design realization technology involves the use of brick concrete and a frame shear structure system. The total capacity area of the project is about 980,000 square meters, with a land area of 250,000 square meters and a floor area ratio of 4.98. The design includes elements such as a city reception hall, ecological home, modern urban core, and mountain view resources.

The design interaction of the project is another unique aspect. The top of the building is designed with vertical components and floating plate elements. This design allows for the extension of the line of sight, integrating the building with nature. The design was realized between January 2021 and December 2024 in Nanming District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.

The design team faced several challenges during the project's realization. One of the major challenges was dealing with the complex height difference and slope problems due to the mountainous nature of the site. The team managed to overcome this challenge by using multi-level platforms. Another challenge was reducing the impact of the east main road noise on the community, which was achieved by leveraging the terrain.

The Sunac Guobin Road project was awarded Silver in the A' Architecture, Building, and Structure Design Award in 2022. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The award is a testament to the project's strong technical characteristics, splendid artistic skill, and remarkable level of excellence.
